Christmas Wishes for Kids
Each year, the Mid-State REALTORS® Community Foundation, Inc along with the Mid-State Association of REALTORS® works with local social service agencies in the Bristol/Southington area to provide a Christmas Luncheon at Nuchies Banquet in Bristol and the Aqua Turf Club in Southington for specific children and their families who can't support the expenses of Christmas. The Mid-State Association gets a list from each agency that indicates a specific gift that the child has requested in the form of a "Christmas Wish". Once the lists are received, the Foundation volunteers go shopping to purchase these specific gifts. Last year we provided approximately 300 gifts for the children. Once the gifts are purchased, we wrap each gift and have "Santa" give the gifts out at the Christmas parties.
